No phones, televisions, radios, loud fans, people, cars on the street, pets, or any noise should be audible in the room when you are teaching.

Also, your background must be a plain background. Most teachers will arrange their desks so their backs are facing plain walls (no doors, pictures, windows). Payment

Consultants are paid a base rate for each class attended and taught. Base rates are determined by experience and other qualifications. Additionally, there is the opportunity to earn bonuses based upon both the number of students in a class and the ratings awarded consultants in the students' class feedback. A summary of all the sessions you've taught and the ratings you received are accessible from our on-line system to see your total monthly pay. This system will be explained and discussed further with successful applicants.

For monthly teacher payments, we use bank wire transfers.

Session/Schedule

iTutorGroup operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, we are able to offer various schedules that are flexible and can be personalized to our teachers’ needs. You will be required to teach during our peak teaching hours. Detail will be discussed during the interview.

You can check on the time difference at http://www.greenwichmeantime.com/ . We do not have Daylight Savings Time. For further information go to http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

The sessions we offer our students are conversation-based. Therefore, teachers are required to create a friendly and open environment which all students can be participate equally. It is important to understand that we do not promote lecture style learning. On the contrary, we expect our teachers to foster interaction between students. Teacher-talk-time should always be at a minimum and focused towards setting up an activity or exercise, in addition to offering appropriate feedback which follow the aims of any particular lesson. If you are accepted into our training program you will have the opportunity to observe some of our top-rated sessions from our experienced teachers. Peer-observation as well as self-observations are methods we employ to better prepare new and old teachers of iTutorGroup.

Lesson plans are supplied through iTutorGroup's learning system. Teachers are automatically provided with appropriate lesson plans for each class, based on the students' ability level and individual backgrounds. Our material has been designed to discuss various topics, ranging from business English to specific topics to everyday conversations. They provide our students with the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and expressions while practicing their listening and speaking skills. All of our lessons contain the necessary language foci and goals appropriate for our student's ability and development. As a result, our materials provide our students with a well-rounded learning experience.

The majority of our students are professionals from the ages of 22-65. However, we also attract students wishing to improve their English in hopes of studying overseas or becoming more marketable once they enter the workforce. Most students have studied English during their academic careers, but lack proficient conversational skills. For our Jr brand, you will be teaching children from the age of 6 to 18. These students study English in school but need conversational practice.

Self IT Test

  1. Equip headset and webcam properly to your computer.
  2. Disable any anti-virus software temporally, in case of blocking the system.
  3. The test takes approximately 3-5 minutes (excluding downloading time).
  4. Windows Operating System must be Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or above with 2.00 GB of RAM.
  5. Mac OS must be version 10.8 or above.
  6. Please avoid using other programs when testing.

  1. Restart your network device (modem/router), should you fail internet testing. We recommend wired connection.
  2. For wireless network, distance is the most obvious problem. There is a certain optimal range that the wireless signal can travel. If the network has to cover an area larger than the router is capable of transmitting to, or if there are lots of corners to go around and walls to penetrate, performance will take a hit. Thus, you should move your computer closer to the device so the signal strength will be stronger.
  3. Reboot computer can help your computer reset to its initial state and the operating system begins fresh. A simple reboot can fix a computer issue 80-90% of the time, whether that issue is related to networking, graphics, slow performance, or faulty programs.
  4. If the issue persists after rebooting, the underlying cause might be much more serious than a random error. Problems such as corrupted software, presence of malware, or failing hardware are rarely fixed by restarting.
  5. If, by any means, you cannot download or run the program, then capture a screenshot of the problem page or any error message. Please email to us through PMIT@iTutorGroup.com and we will provide you with assistance as soon as possible.
After your test is completed, please enter TutorMeet Practice (simply click on this) and you will be able to see and get more familiar of what our teaching platform is.
